WHAT ARE THE SCHEMES?

Gateway Qualifications offers a range of schemes to meet the requirements of different provision:

Gateway Gold

This scheme is designed for larger employers and training providers. You may develop as many training packages as required, all of which will be certificated by Gateway Qualifications.

Following the initial approval of five training packages, Gateway Qualifications will support a nominated quality lead within your organisation. This person will then review and approve any additional training packages. You will receive two advisory/consultancy visits per year free of charge. These visits may look at your internal quality assurance systems for new training package approvals but can also be used to provide consultancy and advice on improvements and additions to your training programme and your consultant may observe training as part of the visit.

Gateway Silver

This scheme is designed for employers (including SMEs) or training providers who do not offer a wide range of in-house training packages.

As part of the scheme approval fee, Gateway Qualifications will approve three training packages. All additional training packages will be approved separately for a small fee. All trainees registered on and completing the training will be certificated by Gateway Qualifications. You will receive at least one consultation or advisory visit per year during which your Gateway Qualifications consultant may also observe a training event. Additional consultancy visits available at extra cost.

Gateway Approved Trainer

This scheme provides freelance consultants with recognition from Gateway Qualifications.

You will be observed as part of the approval process. Each of your training packages will be approved separately after an initial approval
of three training packages. All trainees registered on and completing these specific training packages will be certificated by Gateway Qualifications.

Gateway Skills Passport

In addition to any of the schemes above, employers or providers who deliver longer courses with several modules or components may wish to add on a Gateway Skills Passport to each registration as an attractive way of recording individual trainee’s achievements.

Particularly useful for Traineeships, the Skills Passport can be used to demonstrate evidence of knowledge and skills development as well as providing an opportunity to record action planning, review and evaluation. Read more about how you can use the Skills Passport for Traineeships here.
