    The Level 3 Award in Managing Volunteers has been developed to support those with responsibility for managing volunteers to acquire the necessary knowledge and skills to optimise the contribution of the volunteer workforce. The qualification has been developed with the support of voluntary and charitable organisations and those who provide professional development services to them.

    Learners who achieve this qualification could progress to a job role in which they have responsibility for managing volunteers. They may also progress to further study at Level 3 and above, for example taking further management qualifications, including those relating to human resources.

    What is the purpose of this qualification?

    The knowledge, skills and understanding that will be assessed as part of the qualification are set out within the unit specifications.


    What are the progression options?

    Although the qualification has not been specifically developed to support progression to further learning the learners may find that they can use the introduction to the affairs of voluntary and charitable organisations as a springboard to pursuing further business-related qualifications at Level 3 or above.


    Progression & entry requirements

    The learners must be aged 18 or over to take this qualification. The learners don’t need any prior qualifications or specific levels of attainment.
