Apprenticeship Overview

A high quality function of business administration is essential to all organisations, whatever their product, function or sector. Advanced apprentices typically undertake a variety of complex tasks. They will have a high degree of autonomy and responsibility and may provide some supervisory support.

This Apprenticeship provides the breadth and depth of skills and knowledge needed for employment in business and administration. This framework is designed to meet the skills needs of employers by
attracting new talent into a career in business and administration and
help to up-skill the workforce to replace staff as needed.

Job roles could include:

  • Administration Executive/Officer
  • Administration Team Leader
  • Personal Assistant or Secretary

Functional Skills

Apprentices may need to provide evidence of their achievement of transferable skills in English, Mathematics and ICT in order to be awarded the Apprenticeship.

Employment Rights and Responsibilities

The ERR aspect of this framework can be achieved through either the optional L/506/1905 Employee Rights and Responsibilities unit included within the combined qualification or through the Skills CFA workbook.
