Apprenticeship Overview
A high quality administrative function is essential to all businesses and organisations, whatever their product, function or sector. Intermediate apprentices will typically undertake a range of routine tasks in different work contexts. They will have some independence but are usually supervised.
This Apprenticeship provides the breadth and depth of skills and knowledge needed for employment in business and administration. This framework is designed to meet the skills needs of employers by attracting new talent into a career in business and administration and to up-skill the workforce to replace existing staff.

- Administrator/Business Support Officer
- Office Junior
- Receptionist

Functional Skills
Apprentices may need to provide evidence of their achievement of transferable skills in English, Mathematics and ICT in order to be awarded the Apprenticeship.
Employment Rights and Responsibilities
The ERR aspect of this framework can be achieved through either the optional L/506/1905 Employee Rights and Responsibilities unit included within the combined qualification, or the Skills CFA workbook.
