Our Product team are looking for Writers and Reviewers who have a specialist knowledge and experience in ESOL (Skills for Life) to join our flexible wider workforce.
As an Assessment Writer you will be responsible for producing engaging and accessible assessment papers in line with the requirements of Gateway Qualifications’ qualification specification, the Adult ESOL Core Curriculum and the National Standards for Adult Literacy.
What we are looking for:
- Educated to degree level or equivalent
- Experience of writing assessment papers for an awarding organisation and/or learners
- Previous experience in a regulated environment
- Strong organisation skills with a keen eye for detail
- Ability to manage priorities and workload
- Awareness of the diverse nature of ESOL learners and the challenges they face
As an Assessment Reviewer you will be responsible for the production of high-quality assessment papers to meet the requirements of the qualification specification, the Adult ESOL Core Curriculum and National Standards for Adult Literacy criteria.
What we are looking for:
- Experience of reviewing assessment papers for an awarding organisation.
- Knowledge of ESOL Core Curriculum and National Standards for Adult Literacy.
- Knowledge of Ofqual’s General Conditions of Recognition.
- Knowledge of the regulatory environment and experience of working for an awarding organisation on regulated qualifications.
- Awareness and understanding of the intended audience for ESOL (Skills for Life) qualifications.
- Experience of delivering ESOL (Skills for Life) at level 2 or below.
As a self-employed contractor, you’ll be based at home and will therefore need a reliable, high speed internet connection, appropriate IT hardware and software, and a quiet, suitably furnished, place to work.
