Continue to raise awareness within your Centre

According to government statistics, in the last 12 months, 39% of UK businesses identified a cyber-attack. Of the 39% of UK businesses who identified an attack, the most common threat vector was phishing attempts (83%). Around one in five (21%) identified a more sophisticated attack type such as a denial of service, malware, or ransomware attack.

Over the past few years, organisations have become more vigilant to cyber security breaches. We strongly recommend Centres ensure that sufficient safeguards are in place to prevent a cyberattack and consider the preventative steps outlined by National Cyber Security Centre.

To help everyone in your organisation remain vigilant to the risk of cyber-attacks, you may consider teaching cybersecurity. These qualifications highlight the importance of cybersecurity and ensuring knowledge is implemented. Delivering these qualifications ensures consistency across your teaching and provides evidence of the knowledge gained.
