The Education and Skills Funding Agency (ESFA) has this morning updated LARS (Learning Aims Reference Service) to include funding for Essential Digital Skills qualifications (EDSQ).

Gateway Qualifications is the first Awarding Organisation to complete Ofqual’s technical evaluation and to be able to make EDSQs available to Centres. A common question in our weekly series of webinars has been for more information about the funding and Centres will be reassured to see this information on the ESFA’s Hub. The qualifications are a legal entitlement for adults aged 19+ and each will be funded at a rate of £300 per learner for the academic year 2020-2021.

The qualifications are based on the national standards and are intended to support adults who want to join the digital world by learning digital skills for life, their work or for use in further study.

There is more information about Essential Digital Skills on our dedicated webpage.
