You will no doubt be looking for creative ways to include safeguarding and British Values in your curriculum. Our Level 1 Award in British Values qualification has been designed in collaboration with practitioners to help you do just that.
Available from September 2017, it is intended as a short qualification to address British Values from the outset. Our short qualification with external online assessment allows you to demonstrate to Ofsted that all your learners have a good understanding in British Values. This qualification breaks down complex concepts using straightforward language and accessible, often scenario-based, questions to assess learners’ understanding.
An understanding of British Values can help learners’ self-development, aid their employability, contribute positively to safeguarding and help you build a cohesive community.
This qualification includes the fundamental British Values, as defined by Ofsted:
- Democracy
- Rule of Law
- Liberty, and Mutual respect for and tolerance of those with different faiths and beliefs and for those without faith
Alongside the concepts of:
- Extremism
- Radicalisation
