Six new Diplomas introduced to our extended range of Access to Higher Education Diplomas.
We are delighted to introduce six brand new Access to HE Diplomas in response to college requests and to help meet local training and employment needs. These new Diplomas provide a route into Higher Education and University for learners who are returning to studying or who do not yet meet the entry requirements for the course.
Support materials and assignment briefs are available for many units within these new diplomas as well as our existing diplomas to help you with delivery. Many units are shared across a number of different diplomas and cohorts can easily be taught alongside one another to gain economies of delivery and meet the needs of your learners.
The new Access to HE Diplomas are:
Creative and Digital Media
The diploma will provide students with the underpinning knowledge and understanding needed to support academic study in this subject area. There are a broad range of practical and creativity-based units, as well technical units to develop student knowledge and skills in key areas of interest, linked to the different aspects of media.

- Website design and production
- Digital Marketing Communication
- Understanding social media advertising and promotion

Creative Industries
This diploma is ideal for those wanting to understand how creativity functions in organisations and the best management practices for creating, circulating and commercialising ideas, knowledge and information. The diploma will provide an understanding of the key principles in managing the skill and talent that power sectors such as media, art and crafts, design, film and video, music, theatre and the performing arts, publishing, TV and radio, and digital design.

- Film editing
- Digital Sound and Video Capture
- Radio Production
- Costume Design: Development
Logistics and Business Management
In today’s business world, success is increasingly hinged on the speed and efficiency of supply chains, and the logistics of getting goods to end users. This diploma provides the knowledge and understanding of all aspects of logistics, as well as how businesses operate and are managed. Students will explore the links and how reliant on one another these two aspects are, to ensure business success.

- Finance and Accounts
- Analysing and Presenting Business Data

Social Work
This diploma provides the academic knowledge and practical skills students need to start in their chosen career path and is designed for anyone that is passionate about making a difference to children, families and adults. It will provide the skills and qualities needed to become a social worker, and after the last year will be an increasingly needed occupation.

- Dementia Awareness
- Understand how to support young people who are lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender or questioning (LGBTQ+)
Medicine
Following the QAA subject descriptor guidance, we are pleased to be able to offer an Access to HE Diploma in medicine to complement our successful Medicine and Medical Sciences Diploma. It provides an in-depth study of science to underpin any future medical training and is aimed at students who wish to go to medical school.

- The Human Skeleton and Muscles
- Cell Biology
Health and Human Sciences
This new diploma compliments our range of already established healthcare Access to HE courses on offer. It is designed to prepare students for study on health-related degree programs such as Health and Social Care, Mental Health Nursing, Midwifery, Nursing, Nutrition, Public Health, to name but a few.

- Plant and Soil Science
- Biological Molecules
