    Determine the need and scope for the project.

    Develop project plans identifying the following

    • aims and objectives
    • full costs of the project
    • timescale for the whole project
    • human resources required
    • physical resources required
    • individual tasks within the project
    • documentation and information required
    • interdependencies involved
    • milestones and deliverable to be met
    • possible risks.

Be able to carry out the project.

Assessment Criteria

  • 3.1

    Conduct and manage the project in line with the plan.

    Monitor the progress of the project to ensure that

    • objectives are met
    • delivery is on time and on budget
    • quality standards are met and maintained.

    Communicate effectively with all team members and other stakeholders.

  • 3.4

    Report progress to relevant parties at agreed stages.

  • 3.5

    Deal promptly and effectively with problems within their control.

  • 3.6

    Report problems which they cannot resolve to appropriate personnel.
