Negotiate and agree a project brief in a strategic retail management context that facilitates development of their professional skills and knowledge.
Produce and present an agreed project brief in accordance with industry standards and protocols.
Plan and manage the project.
Produce a project plan in a strategic retail management context to include
• rationale for the development
• resources needed including technology
• intended consultations with industry practitioners and business professionals
• identification of personal and/or collaborative skills needed and secured
• process and practices to be employed
• action plan including timescale
• rationale for plan
• identification of potential risks and contingencies.
Manage the retail project to meet identified aims and objectives within the agreed timescale
• using and synthesising appropriate materials, techniques, skills, experienced, knowledge abilities and technologies inventively and flexibly
• addressing health and safety and any legal/ethical considerations
• resolving issues/problems which may occur in the process
• maximising opportunities for time and cost effectiveness
• maximising opportunities for collaboration and specialist input.

Select appropriate method/s to organise, prepare and present their final work in accordance with accepted professional practices and protocols.
