The Leader in Adult Care apprenticeship standard is designed for apprentices working in roles where they have responsibility for managing community or residential based services..
Job roles may include: registered, assistant, deputy, unit or service manager.

Mandated qualification requirements
The Leader in Adult Care apprenticeship standard requires achievement of the following qualification for all apprentices:
Gateway Qualifications Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Adult Care
Complementary additional support qualifications
The following qualifications may be used to support apprentices to demonstrate their knowledge and skills.
English and Maths support
All apprentices must also achieve level 2 English and maths prior to taking their EPA. For those with an education, health and care plan or a legacy statement, the minimum requirement is Entry Level 3.
