Through Quality Mark and Tailored Qualifications, we help high‑quality providers validate their training in a way that strengthens reputation, deepens employer trust and supports learner progress.

These services are designed for organisations with well‑developed training content, strong governance, and the capacity to meet our quality expectations. If you’re unsure which option suits your programme, we’ll help you navigate the best route

We offer two distinct accreditation pathways. Both are non‑regulated, but each serves a different purpose:

Quality Mark

• Ideal for: Non‑assessed training, CPD, workshops, short programmes
• Assessment: None
• External Quality Assurance: Annual self‑assessment with sampling/review if needed
• Certificate Type: E‑certificate of attendance
• Who it suits: Providers delivering high‑quality knowledge‑based training
• Level / Size: Not levelled, no credit

Tailored Qualifications

• Ideal for: Assessed, levelled qualifications you have designed with defined learning and assessment outcomes
• Assessment: Formal assessment
• External Quality Assurance: Full External Quality Assurance (EQA) with sampling of assessment decisions
• Certificate Type: E‑certificate of achievement
• Who it suits: Providers with robust assessment systems and experienced assessors and internal quality assurers
• Level / Size: Levelled and may include credit

Quality Mark

Recognition for high‑quality, non‑assessed training

Our Quality Mark is designed for organisations that deliver exceptional learning experiences without formal assessment — such as CPD courses, workshops, inductions or awareness programmes.

It provides external validation from a regulated Awarding Organisation, reassuring learners, employers, and partners that your training meets defined standards of quality, inclusivity and purpose.

What Quality Mark Includes

• Independent review of your course content and structure
• Confirmation that your training is appropriate, inclusive and well‑designed
• A named, approved course title (not resembling regulated qualifications)
• E‑certificates of attendance for learners (no paper certificates)
• Annual self‑assessment to maintain approval, with sampling if required

Who Quality Mark Is For

Quality Mark is suited to organisations that:

• Have structured, knowledge‑based training with clear aims
• Can evidence good governance, policies and learner support
• Want recognition, but do not need assessment, credit or levels
• Need flexibility to adapt and update content regularly

Who It Is Not For

Quality Mark cannot approve content that:

• Trains for professional competence, licence to practice or regulated professions
• Involves high‑risk, clinical, legal or counselling practice
• Includes political, religious or discriminatory content
• Replicates regulated qualifications or includes protected titles

If your training involves assessment, developing workplace competence, or sits in a specialist/high‑risk area, then bespoke accreditation is not right for you.

Tailored Qualifications

Accreditation for assessed, levelled qualifications designed by you

Where your programme includes formal assessment, defined learning outcomes, and structured criteria, a Tailored Qualification offers the credibility of a levelled, externally quality‑assured qualification — created around your exact needs.

Tailored Qualifications are fully customised but still benefit from the rigour of external quality assurance and alignment to national level descriptors.

What Tailored Qualifications Include

• Detailed review of learning outcomes and assessment criteria
• Mapping to national level descriptors (Entry–Level 7)
• Full External Quality Assurance: monitoring visits + sampling of learner work
• Certificate of achievement featuring your organisation’s logo
• Periodic review to keep content current and compliant

Who Tailored Qualifications Suit

This route is ideal for organisations who:

• Deliver assessed learning that needs credible accreditation
• Have experienced tutors/assessors and strong internal quality assurance systems
• Operate in sectors that value structured outcomes and levelled learning
• Need the flexibility to design programmes around employer needs

Who Tailored Qualifications Are Not For

Tailored Qualifications cannot include content that:

• Confers or implies professional competence or licence to practice rights
• Involves clinical procedures, therapy, counselling, legal advice, or unsafe activities
• Contains political, religious or discriminatory content or risks breaching legislation
• Replicates existing regulated qualifications or uses protected titles

Fees

Quality Mark

• Centre Recognition: £500/year
• Course Approval: £275 per course
• Learner Registration: £10 per learner
• Renewal (if required): £250 per course

Tailored Qualifications

• Centre Recognition: £800/year
• Qualification Approval: £1,000 per qualification
• Learner Registration: Unit‑based (from £20 to £263 depending on size)
• Renewal: £500 per qualification
