Gateway Qualifications offers £1,000 to 10 initiative ideas that help learners grow.

In celebration of our 10 year anniversary, we are looking to contribute towards 10 projects that will enrich and expand the experience of learners.

If you have an idea that you believe will support the development, enjoyment, retention and enrolment of learners, we want you to share them with us.

Important Notes
Nomination requirements
  • The prize draw is open to all staff at Recognised Centres with Gateway Qualifications only.
  • Entry is free. Only one entry per person. Multiple entries accepted from same Centre with different ideas.
  • The nominated initiative should be running/planned for the 2024/2025 academic year.
  • The entry should seek to provide opportunities which their funding streams don’t cover.
  • Shortlisted entries will be presented to a panel of judges comprised of senior management at Gateway Qualifications. The winning entries will be selected by the panel, which assess each entry based only on the information provided on the entry form.
  • The decisions of the panel of judges will be final.
  • Winning entries agree to participate in any publicity in connection with the promotion (no compensation will be awarded for such promotional activities).

  • Entries close at 11:45pm on 26th July 2024.
  • Gateway Qualifications reserve the right to revise the end date.
  • No purchase is necessary.
  • The prize is as stated; there are no alternatives.
  • Winning Centre names will be available by sending an SAE to Gateway Qualifications within one month of the draw date.
  • The Promoter reserves the right to vary these terms and conditions or suspend, change or cancel the prize draw at any stage in the event of circumstances beyond their control.
  • Entrants are deemed to have accepted the terms and conditions by submitting their entry.
  • English Law applies and the English courts will have jurisdiction over any proceedings in connection with this promotion.

Examples of Initiatives
  • Providing qualifications which a group of learners need, but which are not currently funded.
  • An initiative to support delivering learning amongst a marginalised/disengaged group of learners.
  • Hire of facilities to engage learners in difficult to reach areas.
  • Provision of bursaries/allowances to learners who would not be able to access learning without the support.
  • To subsidise an enrichment activity or educational visit that would not be able to take place without additional support.
  • Purchase of specialist equipment which allows learners to take a fuller part in learning.
  • Publicity materials/advertising to enable hard to reach learners to hear about opportunities.
