    Identify the key factors in the successful germination of seeds sown:

    • indoors
    • outdoors
2. — Be able to sow seeds indoors.

Assessment Criteria

  • 2.1

    Follow instructions to sow different seeds taking account of: seed size, spacing, depth of sowing, covering medium.

3. — Be able to look after and transplant seedlings/plants.

Assessment Criteria

  • 3.1

    Look after seedlings at different stages of development, in line with given procedures.

  • 3.2

    Use given tools and equipment correctly when transplanting seeds.

4. — Be able to harden off and plant out seedlings/plants.

  • 4.1

    Follow instructions to harden off seedlings/plants.

  • 4.2

    Follow instructions to plant out seedlings/plants with different requirements.

    Use given tools and equipment correctly when planting out seedlings/plants.
