Aim

To ensure learners are able to prepare for and learn from work placement in order to make the most of the experience.

Unit Learning Outcomes

Be able to prepare for a work placement.

Assessment Criteria

    Identify the business or organisation where the work placement will take place (e.g. a florist, Station Cafe).

    Give examples of some key things they will be doing in the work placement.

    State who can help them during the work placement.

Be able to identify what they want to achieve through the work placement.

    State some key things they want to achieve through the placement.

Be able to give an account of their work experience.

    State what they did on their work placement, including main activities and experiences.

Be able to review own performance during work placement.

    List some key things they did well on work placement.

    List some aspects of the work placement that they found difficult.
