- housekeeping and cleanliness
- equipment and tools
- personal hygiene and appearance
- use and storage of products
- working practices

2.1State the employers’ responsibilities for the safety of employees and customers in the salon.

2.2: Employee’s responsibility for their own safety and that of colleagues and customers, for example:
- following workplace procedures
- safe use of tools and equipment
- maintaining a safe working area
- reporting concerns
- protecting clients and others
