Assessment Criteria

  • 2.1
    Identify key resources for the production of drawn visual research, including:
    • resources for direct drawing from artefacts or natural forms in museums and exhibitions and still-life arrangements
    • resources for indirect drawing such as books, paint

Be able to create visual research for fashion design purposes.

Assessment Criteria

  • 3.1
    Select relevant visual research information to meet the requirements of a brief.
  • 3.2
    Use different drawing media and techniques to produce drawn visual research, including studies of:
    • imagery and detail
    • colour and texture
    • shape and form.
  • 3.3
    Supplement directly drawn studies with other visual research material such as fabrics, yarns, and examples of colour and texture.
  • 3.4
    Create a colour reference folder or book organised in a logical way.

    Organise visual research to a specification.
