4.1Place pattern pieces within fabric useable width, economically and following grain lines and pattern piece markings to minimise fabric wastage.
4.2Measure and record the quantity (length and width) of fabric required for each lay plan.
4.3Calculate and record the cost of the fabric required for each lay plan attempt.
4.4Compare fabric costings and select the most economical lay plan to mark in (trace).
