2 — Be able to organise and import video footage into editing software.

Assessment Criteria

• 2.1
  Organise video files using appropriate naming conventions within a directory structure
• 2.2
  Import video footage into editing software and create a new project with an appropriate format.

3 — Be able to edit video footage using appropriate editing software.

Assessment Criteria

• 3.1
  Perform editing techniques using the application tools provided.
• 3.2
  Use Three Point Editing to produce an edited video sequence which includes transitions and titles.

4 — Be able to carry out colour correction techniques.

Assessment Criteria

• 4.1
  Outline the importance of colour in the context of portraying different moods and emotions.
• 4.2
  Use colour correction techniques to create appropriate mood and emotion in video footage.

5 — Be able to use effects within an edited video sequence.

Assessment Criteria

  Identify the different effects available within editing software provided.
• 5.2
  Apply effects to a video sequence using key frame animation.

6 — Be able to cut video to the pace of a sound track.

  Identify an appropriate sound track for a video sequence.

  Edit video sequence to sound track taking into consideration timing and pace.

  Export completed sequence using an appropriate format.
