Learners must actively engage in learning through play activities at home with their own child in order to meet the assessment criteria for Learning Outcome 2.

    Follow a given template to develop a brain-friendly home learning activity based on the accelerated learning cycle.

Be able to assess the effectiveness of a brain-friendly home learning activity.

Assessment Criteria

  • 2.1

    Use a given checklist to review how well a brain-friendly home learning activity for a child went, including comments on

    • whether the planned learning outcomes were met

    • how much the child and they, as facilitator, enjoyed the activity

    • their use of clear and positive communication to facilitate the activity

    • how well they followed the accelerated learning cycle.
