1. — Be able to communicate with others.

Assessment Criteria

1.1: Speak clearly, for example:
- use appropriate tone, volume, pace for the context
- avoid slang/unclear language in professional or formal situations
- practice pronunciation and enunciation for clarity

Express statements of fact, explanations, instructions, accounts and descriptions.
1.3: Ask questions, for example:
- use open-ended questions to gather more detailed responses
- use closed questions for quick, specific answers
- adjust questions depending on the person and purpose

2. — Be able to adapt speech according to context.

2.1: Formal and informal language, for example:
formal language:
- polite/professional
- structured (for example, full sentences)
- standard English, no slang words
informal language:
- conversational
- everyday English
2.2: Adapt content, for example:
- tailor speech to suit the audience
- adjust details based on the situation
- use examples/relatable language to connect with the audience
