We’re looking for an Assessment Developer (Design) to join our Product team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in designing high-quality assessments that support qualification delivery, meet regulatory requirements and provide an excellent experience for learners.
About the Role
As an Assessment Developer (Design), you’ll be responsible for designing, developing and maintaining assessments across a range of qualifications and assessment methods. You’ll work closely with subject experts, examiners and colleagues across the business to ensure assessments are robust, reliable and fit for purpose.
Key Responsibilities:
- Designing assessment models, blueprints and assessment strategies
- Writing and quality assuring assessment materials, including question papers, tasks and mark schemes
- Developing assessments across multiple formats, including MCQs, practical tasks and extended responses
- Supporting pilot testing, analysis and continuous improvement activities
- Ensuring assessments meet regulatory requirements and industry best practice
- Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders throughout the development process.
About You
We’re looking for someone who combines creativity with attention to detail and enjoys turning qualification requirements into meaningful assessments.
You’ll Bring
- Experience designing assessments within an Awarding Organisation or education setting
- A strong understanding of assessment theory and practice
- Excellent writing and proofreading skills
- Experience working with a range of assessment methods
- Strong analytical and project management skills
- A commitment to fairness, accessibility and learner-centred design.
