Gateway Qualifications has been chosen as a finalist in the prestigious Awarding Organisation of the Year category at the FAB Awards.
The FAB Awards are organised by the Federation of Awarding Bodies (FAB) and recognise the contributions made by awarding organisations and their employees to education and skills in the UK over the past year. The awards are now in their fourth year and this year was more competitive than ever.
Responding to the announcement, Gateway Qualifications’ CEO, Carol Snape, said
“I am thrilled that Gateway Qualifications has been shortlisted for Awarding Organisation of the Year. As an awarding organisation, we all believe passionately in the work we do to support all learners to achieve their potential, many of whom are overlooked within current government policy priorities. It is pleasing to have our hard work and commitment acknowledged by the Federation of Awarding Bodies and we are looking forward to the announcement of the winners in October.”
2017-2018 has been an exceptional year for Gateway Qualifications in many ways, with more Centres benefiting from our supportive approach and the flexible design of our qualifications meaning that more learners, including the hard to reach, are able to have their needs met. Gateway Qualifications has also been chosen by the Ministry of Justice (MoJ) as the sole awarding organisation for English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) for prison education.
Announcing the finalists, Tom Bewick, FAB Chief Executive, said
“the FAB Awards is an opportunity for the industry to come together to celebrate success and share good practice. We received record numbers of entries for the FAB Awards this year and the standard as always has been exceptionally high. We look forward to announcing the winners at the Awards dinner on 18 October.”
