Assessment Criteria

  • 1.1

    Identify plumbing hand tools.

  • 1.2

    Identify how to cut plastic supply and waste pipe correctly.

  • 1.3

    Identify plastic push fit fittings and pipe inserts.

2 — Be able to produce plastic supply pipework.

Safe installation practices for water services

  • hygienic working with potable water
  • washing hands before installation
  • keeping tools clean
  • cutting pipe work safely
  • uing push fit joints correctly
  • form a t joint and bend in plastic supply pipework

Assessment Criteria

  • 2.1

    Use safe working practices to

    a) form bends using push-fit settings

    b) form tee joints in push-fit settings

  • 2.2

    Disassemble push fit fittings.

3 — Be able to produce plastic waste pipework.
