Gateway Qualifications and the University of East London are delighted to announce an exciting new partnership that will provide enhanced progression opportunities for students and professional development and masterclasses for staff.

Gateway Qualifications has a long and successful history of widening participation and supporting students to achieve their life goals, whatever their circumstances. The University of East London (UEL) is a careers-led university, dedicated to supporting its students to develop the skills, emotional intelligence and creativity needed to thrive in a constantly changing world.

These two organisations have come together to strengthen these priorities by offering progression routes and benefits for Access to HE students to achieve their ambition of a higher education place in preparation for their chosen career.

Gateway Qualifications CEO, Carol Snape, said:

“We are delighted to come together with the University of East London with the common goal of expanding the opportunities and support for Access to HE. This partnership offers a fantastic range of activities and events for students and staff at our approved centres enabling all to realise their potential and continue on the lifelong learning journey.”

The agreement will also benefit staff at Gateway Qualifications approved Access to HE Centres through the development of a programme of CPD activities. This will provide opportunities for staff to maintain currency in their subject, network with colleagues to explore and develop their provision and strengthen their relationship with the UEL colleagues. Opportunities will include engagement with UEL’s programme of masterclasses, teaching and learning training events and subject forums, through a mixture of face to face and virtual sessions.
