During September 2025, we’re introducing Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) for all Prism accounts. This is an important step to strengthen security and protect the sensitive information held in Prism.
Prism contains a lot of personal data – yours and your colleagues’– so keeping it safe is a top priority. Adding 2FA means that you’ll need a second verification step in addition to your usual username and password when logging in.
What you need to know
When the changes come into effect, when you log into Prism, you will be emailed an authentication code.
Enter the code to complete the login.
You will already be following a similar process when logging into Quartz and QuartzWeb.
This update meets regulatory requirements from the Department for Education and aligns with UK government best practices for education providers from National Cyber Security Centre – NCSC.GOV.UK
