    What is the purpose of this qualification?

    The Level 4 Award in Foundations of Data Analytics with Artificial Intelligence – No Code has been developed for beginners and non-technical professionals seeking to build practical data literacy and confidence - without the need to write code

    Learners are guided through the full analytics lifecycle, from formulating questions and preparing data to visualising and interpreting results, using widely accessible tools like Excel, Power BI, and Google Sheets.

    This hands-on qualification is designed to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of any role that interacts with data, while also boosting employability and professional competitiveness. For those already in the workforce, it offers immediate application to real workplace tasks and reporting. For individuals who are unemployed or transitioning careers, the programme uses sample datasets and industry-relevant scenarios to build demonstrable skills and prepare for new opportunities.

    This qualification is designed to strengthen the skills of professionals from diverse disciplines. It enables individuals such as production engineers/supervisors, marketers, sales supervisors, supply chain analysts, or logistics managers to apply data analytics within their roles, enhancing decision-making and day-to-day productivity.

    Learners will engage with real-world examples to develop skills in communicating insights, applying statistical reasoning, and developing data storytelling techniques that inform decision-making.     The aims and objectives of the qualification are to:

    • Develop introductory statistical understanding and ethical awareness in data handling.
    • Support learners in leveraging AI tools to streamline analysis workflows and boost insight generation.

    Progression & entry requirements

    There are no mandatory prior qualifications required for this qualification. It is designed for beginners and non-technical professionals who want to develop data literacy and confidence in using no-code analytics tools. There are no specific prior skills/knowledge learners must have for this qualification, however learners should be proficient to at least Level 2 in English and Maths. It is recommended that learners have a working knowledge of spreadsheets, including tasks such as sorting, use of formulas, creating simple charts, and basic file management. Learners undertaking this qualification may be in employment, seeking work, or reskilling for a new role. For those in work, skills can be applied directly to workplace tasks and reporting. For those who are unemployed or reskilling, the qualification can be completed using curated datasets and industry scenarios to demonstrate employability. Centres must ensure that learners have the correct information and advice when selecting qualifications to ensure that the qualification will meet their needs. Centres must ensure that this qualification suits the age and abilities of their learners by ensuring that learners can meet the relevant literacy, numeracy, digital, and health and safety requirements of the qualification. Learners enrolled on this qualification should not undertake another qualification at the same level with a similar title or content, as this could impact funding eligibility due to duplicated learning. On completion of this qualification learners will be equipped with the knowledge, skills and understanding of data analytics.
