The Department for Education (DfE) is holding a series of webinars to introduce stakeholders to the new approval process and criteria for level 3 qualifications.

The changes to the level 3 qualification landscape began in 2022 following a consultation in 2021. Phase 1 of the process involved the removal of funding from qualifications with no or low numbers of enrolments, which took place in 2022. Phase 2 is currently underway with the proposed removal of funding from qualifications which overlap with T Levels.  More details on the review of post-16 level 3 qualifications are available on the DfE website.
