Taking Access to HE Online

Through our partnership with Pearltech UK Ltd we are putting our most popular Access to Higher Education Units and Diplomas online.

Units from our Access to HE Diploma in Health and Social Care will be available for online delivery from January 2019. Many of these units are also used in other health and social care diplomas, and by September units within Nursing, Nursing and Midwifery, Health Professions and Business Management will be available online.

Making use of technology in this way allows you to make Access to HE courses available to more learners without the need to increase teaching and classroom time.

The perfect blend

Using Pearl’s contemporary online learning environment, learners can access course materials wherever and whenever they want, allowing them to shape their learning around their life. You can choose whether to offer Diplomas as part of a blended learning option, or fully online depending on the requirements of your learners.

With the Pearl system you receive a full support and guidance on making the most of online delivery; including advice on recruitment and screening to ensure your learners are best placed to succeed.

You can choose how many units you want to use and either pay per unit, or for a full Diploma. This allows you total flexibility to shape your blended Access to HE course. Whether you plan to offer Access to HE fully online or as part of blended learning your planning, teaching and classroom time will be reduced in comparison to traditionally taught Diplomas.

You could use this time saving to concentrate your face-to-face time on key modules to improve success rates, or to increase the number of learners you can accommodate. You could begin at more start dates throughout the year to create a roll-on-roll-off approach or courses with different durations or intensities.

Powerful management tools

Keeping on top of paperwork can be a challenge which is why everything is recorded, monitored and tracked in one place. Marking is secure and all contained within the online learning environment. You don’t have to carry pieces of paper around and learners’ work won’t get lost as it’s all uploaded and saved into the system. Plus, you’ll be freed from deadline chasing as reminders are sent to students automatically.
