Cybersecurity is a rapidly growing field, as organisations become increasingly reliant on technology and the internet to store and transmit sensitive information.

In fact, around half of businesses (49%) and almost half of charities (44%) say cyber attacks happen once a month or more. Around three in ten businesses (31%) and a quarter of charities (26%) say they experience breaches or attacks at least once a week.

This has resulted in a heightened need for professionals who can help detect weaknesses in technology systems, protect against cyber attacks and maintain the security of information systems.

Why do learners choose these qualifications?

Individuals choose to pursue cybersecurity qualifications for a number of reasons, including the desire to:

  • Advance their career: Cybersecurity is a rapidly growing field, so many learners choose to complete qualifications to help further their careers and stand out in the job market.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest technology: As technology continues to evolve, cyber security professionals must be aware of all the latest developments to effectively protect against new threats.
  • Expand their knowledge: Cybersecurity is a complex field, so some learners may choose to study qualifications to increase their knowledge and deepen their understanding of the subject.
  • Protect themselves and others: Cyberthreats are all around, so many learners take the qualifications to improve their ability to identify threats and protect themselves, their training provider and their employer against them.

Our qualifications

We offer qualifications across a range of levels, designed to meet the various needs of learners. Our Level 1 and Level 2 cybersecurity qualifications are short courses, designed to ensure that learners are aware of the importance of online security and are equipped to protect themselves and their college/training provider and employer.

Our Level 3 qualifications are larger courses, suitable for learners exploring a role in cybersecurity or those who need a more detailed knowledge of the subject matter for a job role.
