The objective of the Gateway Qualifications Level 3 qualifications in Logistics is to give learners the knowledge and understanding and an introduction to the skills required in logistics to support progression to qualifications at a higher level, to an apprenticeship or to employment.
Learners will be required to achieve 45 credits.
Learners must achieve 39 credits from this group
The qualification provides learners with the knowledge, understanding and skills to progress to employment in the logistics sector or to undertake further specialist study at a higher level. Learners will complete 45 credits from a selection of units that cover key topics in Logistics including the impact of technology and automation. Providers may tailor programmes to meet learner and local employer needs.
Learners will develop knowledge, understanding and skills in key areas of logistics such as Warehouse Operations, Supply Chain Management,Technology and Automation in Logistics. They will also gain transferable skills in areas such as project management. Learners also have the opportunity to carry out a synoptic project which draws together learning from across the qualification units.

This qualification is included in the Education and Skills Funding Agency (ESFA) National Skills Fund level 3 offer for adults.
Qualifications included in the National Skills Fund – level 3 adult offer will be fully funded from April 2021 for any adult aged 24 and over who wants to achieve their first full level 3 qualification.
