Learners must actively engage in learning through play activities at home with their own child in order to meet the assessment criteria for Learning Outcome 2.

    Plan a brain-friendly home learning activity which incorporates all stages of the accelerated learning cycle and sets out timings and resources needed.

Be able to assess the effectiveness of a brain-friendly home learning activity.

Assessment Criteria

  • 2.1

    Review the effectiveness of a brain-friendly home learning activity for a child including the extent to which

    ·the planned learning outcomes were met

    ·the activity was enjoyed by the child and self

    ·positive communication skills were used to guide and motivate the child

    ·the accelerated learning cycle was applied

  • 2.2

    Demonstrate clear and positive communication skills to guide and motivate those taking part in the activity.
