What is the purpose of this qualification?
Learners will develop an introductory knowledge of the ways in which businesses use social media and the basic skills to set up and maintain social media for a business.
The qualification provides some of the basic knowledge and skills which will be helpful in supporting progression to business, marketing and digital skills qualifications at level 2 further related learning at level 2 or to an apprenticeship, particularly a digital apprenticeship. The qualification will also help learners to adapt skills (i.e. in use of social media) developed in a personal context to the benefit of a business and to understand their relevance in that context.
It is suitable for inclusion in a traineeship, where alongside English and Maths learning and work experience, it will provide learners with a platform to progress to the next level.
