Designed to enable maximum flexibility so that the curriculum can be led by the learners’ needs and interests and not by the requirements of the qualification.

The qualifications are suitable for learners aged 14+ (with the exception of Skills for Active Learners which is for 16+ learners) and have been specifically designed with study programmes, including the new supported internships, in mind.  The qualifications offer a structure and a means of recognising achievements that arise from a personalised learning programme which supports individual progression to a positive post-learning outcome.

The diagram below illustrates how both horizontal and vertical progression are available within the suite (click on the image for a full size version):

The qualifications are suitable for all learners operating at Entry Level but can be specifically targeted at learners with learning difficulties and/or disabilities and cover learning skills, employability skills, personal and social skills and enterprise.
